Cleaners of London Pro

Privacy Policy. Last updated September 2026

This policy explains what the Cleaners of London Pro app (the "app") collects, why, and what your rights are. The app is provided by Cleaners of London Services Limited, company number 14750111, 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described here. Questions: hello@cleanersoflondon.co.uk.

Who the app is for

The app is for independent professionals who take jobs through the Cleaners of London platform. Your account is created by our office after onboarding. There is no public sign-up.

What we collect and why

  • Account details. Your name, email address and phone number, so you can sign in and the office can reach you about work.
  • Location at check-in and check-out. When you check in or out of a job, the app records your position at that moment, and the distance from the job address, so the office can confirm visits without phoning you and so a "can't get in" report can be verified. Location is used only while the app is open and only at those moments. The app never tracks you in the background and never reads motion or fitness data.
  • Job photos. Photos you take in the app attach to the job for the customer and the office. They are stored with the job, not in your phone's photo gallery, and the app does not access other photos on your phone unless you choose one to attach.
  • Documents you upload. Identity, proof of address, insurance and business certificate documents you provide for onboarding and compliance, visible to our office only.
  • Work records. Jobs, check-in and check-out times, availability, time off, messages with the office, customer replies about a visit, ratings customers leave, and your pay: statements, invoices and rate card.
  • Device information. A push notification token, so job changes and office messages can reach your phone, and if the app crashes, a crash report with your device model, operating system version, the screen you were on and your account id. Crash reports never contain your password, messages, photos or location.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with other professionals. Customers see only what is needed for their visit: your first name. Photos of a job are held for the office and may be shared with the customer of that job only.

Who processes data for us

Our platform runs on servers in the European Union (Supabase, Ireland) and the app's services run in Dublin (Vercel). Push notifications are delivered through Expo, Apple and Google. Crash reports are processed by Sentry. Text messages and emails to customers are sent by our messaging providers. Each processes data only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

Work records, including check-in locations and job photos, are kept for as long as you work with us and for six years afterwards, because they support invoices, statements and any dispute about a visit. Onboarding documents are kept while you are on the platform and deleted within twelve months of leaving. Crash reports are deleted by Sentry after ninety days. Push tokens are removed when you sign out or uninstall.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep, by emailing hello@cleanersoflondon.co.uk. You can withdraw location permission in your phone's settings at any time; the app will then ask again when you check in, because check-in needs it. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page and tell you in the app if it affects how your data is used.
